Art Installations and Events
Beyond my design work, I’m deeply engaged in the arts community as both an artist and curator. For over two decades, I have orchestrated art shows throughout Greenpoint, partnering with organizations like GoGreen Brooklyn, Greenpoint Gallery Night, and the Northside Alliance, as well as participating in events like Greenpoint Open Studios and Bushwick Open Studios. My art has appeared on multiple television shows, including Saturday Night Live, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Law & Order SVU and Elementary.

"Streetshadows" part of Common Ground: Imaging North Brooklyn at Arts St. Nicks (2010). Large-scale prints on vellum and painted graphics transform the former Greenpoint Hospital showers into an immersive reflection on neighborhood change, using light, shadow, and found materials from the streets of Greenpoint.

Live Art at GoGreen. Earth Day 2017 McCarren Park, Brooklyn. I dressed up as Bob Ross and staged an interactive art event to celebrate women in the media, the arts and sciences. We provided art and science themed stencils, spray paint and other art materials then invited people to work with us. Both children and adults got involved and made art to take home.

I took over an unused portion of a local shop and curated a PopUp show of local artists.

Nuit du Poulet Blanche. We staged a guerrilla art event during the International Nuit du Blanche Video Festival in Greenpoint, Brooklyn in 2001. The concept was a play on the name of the festival and was an homage to the infamous poultry slaughter house that used to be on Greenpoint avenue. We projected live video mixes from a loading dock onto box trucks along with DJs mixing chicken related samples and had a street team handing out surrealistic manifestos that told of the plight of the chickens.

Streetshadows installaion at Brooklyn Night Bazaar. I take photos of the shadows cast by street signs and transfer them into graphic shapes that I paint onto to walls and random objects. I was invited by the Calico Gallery and the Brooklyn Night Bazaar to paint an installation of in the passageway leading to the beer tent.

Pier Pressure - During the summer of 2013 I was invited to take part in “Pier Pressure” at the The Marina @ Pier 57 on the Hudson River. 10 Artists were invited to created floor murals making a large-scale “magic carpet looking over the Hudson River. I teamed up with Karl Kotas (aka “Satok”), tfuk (Francis Christie) and Danny Dynamic and we came up with the idea to do a giant spiralling eye with a bunch of surreal imagery thrown in.

Welling Court Mural Project - I’ve participated in the Welling Court Mural Project since 2011, organized by the Adhoc Art Gallery, this public beautification project takes a small corner of Astoria, Queens and transforms it with pieces by a large group of internationally known street artists. I concept and rough out a idea for the space and then invite non-artists to help me, we’ve had people from the neighborhood lend a hand, and we’ve gotten a lot of great response from the messaging.

The Lost Glove Project is a street art campaign aimed at educating people about the plight of lost gloves. You might assume that most lost gloves are workers’ gloves, or that gloves are only lost in the winter. But the truth is that lost gloves come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, and they go missing in every season, throughout the year. I posted Lost flyers and set up an Instagram page for people to post their images of lost gloves.
